Our Sponsorship Sales team's responsibilities include understanding the event, researching potential clients and sourcing leads, cold calling, creating proposals and closing deals.

 

Key tasks and responsibilities:

The Sponsorship Sales team is responsible for selling high value Event Sponsorship packages to key solutions providers within a particular industry. As a sponsorship sales executive will spend your day talking to clients and pitching over the phone. You will use highly consultative sales techniques to make your clients aware of the commercial advantages of sponsoring an event. Good negotiation and listening skills are essential, as is the ability to match sponsorship packages to the needs of a client, with the aim of closing business! This is a telephone based sales position where you are responsible for achieving monthly sales targets mainly through cold calling.

 

An ideal candidate will be::

  • Highly confident on the phone, and will possess the credibility and gravitas required to speak to senior industry players daily.

  • Target driven, ambitious and eager to learn and grow.

SPONSORSHIP SALES MANAGER

Sponsorship sales is mostly conducted on the phone, and involves pitching to clients from your target market, and persuading them to pay to sponsor a B2B event. Solution providers from around the world look for opportunities to meet, network, showcase and pitch their potential clients in the capacity of a Conference Sponsor. Each conference presents numerous sponsorship opportunities.

 

Sponsorship Managers are responsible for selling Sponsorship and Exhibition packages on conferences and exhibitions to companies on the supply side of each event. 

 

You will be responsible for maximizing your sales team's potential, crafting plans and processes to achieve the campaign results, and justifying those to the management and client. Must have a proven track record of recruiting, training, and developing sales talent with a drive to contribute individual results as required.

 

An ideal candidate will have:

  • A very strong work ethic and be 'money' motivated, furthermore you will be highly commercial and be able to understand new and diverse markets.

  • Ability to employ a consultative sales approach, to enable clients understand why they should sponsor an event.
